The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introduces new obligations for businesses placing packaging on the EU market, with requirements taking effect from 12 August 2026.
For UK manufacturers selling into the EU, and UK suppliers supporting customers who do, this means understanding which Articles apply to specific packaging, what a compliant Technical Documentation file and Declaration of Conformity must contain, and how to stay audit-ready.
