Prominent local businesses, Sheards Chartered Accountants and Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors join forces this September to host a charity wine tasting evening as part of their Get Together, in aid of The Kirkwood

Aug 16, 2022

The Kirkwood Get Together is about bringing your employees, colleagues, friends, and families together to raise vital funding and awareness towards the incredible care The Kirkwood Nurses provide to patients in their own homes and care homes.

The Kirkwood Business Movement members, Sheards Charted Accountants and Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors have both selected The Kirkwood as their Charity of the year and with this in common, dynamic duo, Lucy and Ellie decided they would join forces in a combined fundraising effort and event for The Kirkwood. As part of their Get Together, the Sheards and Chadwick team plan to begin their fundraising journey by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Meeting at Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire, on September the 2nd to scale Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. A 12 hour, challenging journey, walking approximately 25 miles at an elevation gain of over 1,000m.

After some much needed rest the team will be hosting their second part of their Get Together. This time with a well-deserved and relaxing evening of fine wine tasting, with local wine merchants “Hoult’s Wine” and delicious food by “Bolster Moor”.

The event will take place on September 21st at 6pm BST and will be held at Huddersfield Town Hall. Tickets for this fantastic evening are available for purchase on Eventbrite: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/charity-wine-tasting-evening-tickets-390488941937

Nigel Patrick, Business Development Manager at The Kirkwood had this to add:
“The Kirkwood Get Together will be running throughout September. Lots of companies across Kirklees will be taking part to raise money to help the Kirkwood nurses provide vital care for patients in their own homes.  We are forever grateful for companies like Sheards and Chadwick Lawrence for taking time out to raise money for The Kirkwood.”
