This course would follow the Beginners Practical Guide to Exporting. We recommend this course for those with basic international trade knowledge and are new to their role or those who never obtained formal qualifications or training. The course outlines the end-to-end export process, taking a detailed look at export documentation requirements and shipping using freight forwarders and couriers.

This training counts as 2 credits towards the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.

  • Incoterms
  • Insurance
  • Methods of payment and the risk ladder
  • The goods – commodity codes
  • Export controls and licence requirements
  • Origin of the goods – Non-Preference and Preference
  • Documentation and costs

·      Order acknowledgement / pro forma Invoice

·      Packing – guidelines and rules

·      Generating the shipping documents to include

  • Invoices
  • Packing lists

 

·      Move the goods

  • Booking considerations
  • Courier shipments
  • Freight forwarders and their responsibilities
  • Export declarations
  • Contracts of carriage /transport documentation

·      Proof of export

·      General good business practice
