Woodsome’s Ruby McLellan, who is at Lincoln Memorial University, delivered a standout performance at the NCAA South Regionals at Cleveland Country Club to claim a place at the NCAA Division II Women’s National Championships in May at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

She became the first woman in LMU history to qualify for nationals.

Ruby finishing tied for 5th place at the regionals with rounds of 76-73-72, which took her into a play-off.

Both Ruby and her opponent missed the green in regulation on the playoff hole. Her opponent, from Rollins College, ended up making a bogey. Ruby had a six-foot putt for par.
