Rainbow & Co wins Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award for November 2025

Dec 1, 2025

Based in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, Rainbow & Co is an Autistic, Trans, and Queer-run small business creating unique and inclusive LGBTQ+ pride apparel and accessories. Founded in September 2018 by Adam Holcroft-Tebbutt, the business was born from a deeply personal journey and has since grown into a recognised, values-led brand rooted in representation, equality, and inclusion.

Rainbow & Co operates across both retail and wholesale markets, reaching customers worldwide through its website, Etsy, and wholesale platforms. With over 17,000 Etsy sales, more than 4,000 five-star reviews, and 60+ wholesale clients internationally, the business has built a loyal and engaged global community. In 2024, Rainbow & Co introduced in-house production, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and supporting sustainable growth.

Beyond commercial success, Rainbow & Co has made a meaningful contribution to the region’s cultural and social landscape. Adam Holcroft-Tebbutt proudly serves as a Cultural Pioneer for Rochdale, championing queer voices across the North West. The business donates 10% of profits to LGBTQ+ charities, collaborates with local artists and makers, and consistently promotes regional creativity on a national and international stage.

The judges were particularly impressed by Rainbow & Co’s combination of strong financial performance, ethical values, and community impact. A member of the judging panel commented:

“Rainbow & Co is an outstanding example of a modern, purpose-led business. Adam’s story of resilience, innovation, and leadership is truly inspiring, and the business has demonstrated impressive growth while remaining deeply committed to inclusion, sustainability, and social impact. A very worthy winner of this award.”

Rainbow & Co has achieved consistent year-on-year growth and continues to invest strategically in sustainable production, international wholesale expansion, and digital growth.

Adam Holcroft-Tebbutt, Founder, commented on the win:

“Winning Business of the Month means a huge amount to us. Rainbow & Co has always been about creating visibility and belonging for queer and trans people, and it’s wonderful to see that mission recognised. As an autistic and queer-run business, we’re proud to prove that strong values and strong financial performance can grow side by side.”

As Business of the Month winner, Rainbow & Co will now be considered for Eaton Smith’s prestigious Business of the Year Award being held in June.

Ben Jackson (Eaton Smith Solicitors) was joined on the judging panel by Janet Bebb (Social Progress), Sophie Seddon (Sophie Seddon PR), Emma Sinfield (Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce) and Annie Bradley (Department for Business and Trade).
