Established in 1974, Fresh Futures is a regional charity that supports disadvantaged and vulnerable children, young people and their families across Kirklees and the surrounding areas, hoping to give everyone in the community the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our work is delivered through four themes of activity – Education, Health & Wellbeing, Employability & Skills, and Relationships. We run lots of different services including stay & play sessions; alternative education provision; employability programmes; a young adult’s social group and many more.
Gift Appeal:
We have recently launched the Fresh Futures’ Christmas Gift Appeal for 2024 and we already have several generous donors returning to support this heartwarming initiative! Every year we reach out to local businesses and members of the public to donate new, unwrapped gifts that we then gift to children from families that are struggling during the Christmas period.
Last year we were able to ensure over 1,000 children woke up with a gift on Christmas morning and with even more people expected to need our services this year, your donations are more important than ever!
Our Gift Appeal is a fantastic way for local businesses and the community to support Fresh Futures, not only by donating gifts, but also by volunteering your time by helping us bag up the presents at Brian Jackson House, Huddersfield. What a wonderful way to get in the festive spirit!

Tree of Wishes:
The Fresh Futures Tree of Wishes is shining brightly in reception at Brian Jackson House!
Companies can sponsor a personalised bauble to sit on the tree for a donation of £50. Last year we raised an amazing £6,000 from forty-eight generous local businesses and we are keen for this year to be even more successful!
In these challenging times, every bauble sponsored allows us to continue and extend our support to those children and families most in need. Christmas Cards:
We have our very own Fresh Futures’ Christmas Cards on sale in 2024 with every penny raised going directly to the children and families we support!
The cards have been designed by our very own talented students at Brian Jackson College and are on sale at Brian Jackson House, Huddersfield and Jo Cox House, Batley for £5 a pack!
