DESCRIPTION:Have you\, a family member\, friend\, or colleague ever been affected by miscarriage\, stillbirth\, neonatal death\, or pregnancy loss? \nSadly\, baby loss touches far more families than many people realise. Around 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage\, while thousands of families each year face the heartbreak of stillbirth or neonatal death. \nIn 2023 alone: \n2\,612 babies were stillborn in England and Wales.\n1\,766 babies died within their first 28 days of life.\nOn average\, 8 babies are stillborn every day. \nBehind every statistic is a family whose life has changed forever. \nTo help support bereaved families\, the Maternity Bereavement Appeal is raising £500\,000 to build a dedicated Maternity Bereavement Suite at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
