Both Woodsome Hall’s Gentlemen’s and ladies Captains have held hugely successful events which reflected the strength of the membership at the Club which boasts a 15th Century Clubhouse.

Gentlemen’s Captain Chris Hillaby welcomed 185 members onto the first tee for the first round of his Captains Weekend. 58 survived the cut to play on the Sunday, with the Club’s Marketing Director, David Russell, claiming the trophy with rounds of 64 and 66.

Only two days later, Ladies Captain Helen Smithson had an excellent turnout too, with 79 ladies playing twice during the week. The winners of the three divisions were Helen Weeds, Sarah Arrowsmith and Rosie Cleave MBE.

Both Captains enjoyed great weather for their special days and large numbers to celebrate the winners in the historic courtyard.
