Mid Yorkshire Chamber member, BPI raises thousands for Cancer Research UK on European rally

Sep 18, 2026

Mid Yorkshire Chamber member, BPI, is currently taking part in a seven-day European road rally in support of Cancer Research UK, with the team having already raised more than £4,000 for the charity.

Managing Director David Boulton, alongside colleagues David Greaves and Paul Osborne, set off on 5th September as part of the Yorkshire Italian Job. The trio have been joined by their sons, making the challenge a family adventure as well as a fundraising initiative.

Travelling in three Minis, the group is covering thousands of miles and passing through 12 countries during the seven-day challenge.

The rally combines a passion for driving with BPI’s wider commitment to supporting charitable causes and giving back to the community. Based in Normanton, BPI is an asset disposal specialist providing businesses and organisations with solutions for selling existing business assets.

The team’s fundraising total has already surpassed £4,000, with donations coming from colleagues, friends, family and supporters. The money raised will support Cancer Research UK’s work to fund research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

David Boulton, Managing Director at BPI, said: “It’s been fantastic to get on the road and experience the rally together. Having our sons join us has made it a particularly memorable experience, while the support we’ve received for Cancer Research UK has been incredible.

“Passing the £4,000 mark is a great achievement and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who has donated and supported us so far. We’re enjoying the challenge, and it’s great to know that we’re also helping to raise money for such an important cause.”

The team is documenting its progress throughout the rally, sharing updates from the road as the three Minis make their way across Europe.
