Wayland Additive Limited was founded by a very precise engineering team with a long and illustrious history in the semiconductor industry, where process instabilities are intolerable and electron beam widths are measured in nanometers.
High-value, mature technology transfer from the semiconductor industry to the Additive Manufacturing industry is made possible by Wayland Additive. Following a period of funding from Innovate UK and industry R&D development, the company—which has also brought in a wealth of talent from the AM industry—secured a sizeable amount of initial funding from Longwall Ventures. The business is currently leading the charge in creating the most precise and effective metal AM technique possible.
The dedicated and diverse Wayland Additive team works pragmatically with customers on application and material development and repeatability.
