Parsons, Chartered Accountants named finalist in the Wakefield Business Awards 2023

Sep 14, 2023

Parsons, Chartered Accountants is celebrating being a finalist in the Business Growth Success Story category of the Wakefield Business Awards, The first Wakefield business awards brought to you by We Are Wakefield.

Managing partner, Ian Parsons said: “We are delighted to be recognised as a finalist in these awards on a list with three other very worthy local businesses. For our entry to have stood out alongside such stiff competition is a great achievement in itself, and a testament to the hard work done by our team to grow the business. The work never stops, and we must thank our clients for their continuing, steadfast support as we continue with them on our journey. We wish our fellow finalists huge congratulations and we can’t wait to share a celebration at the awards ceremony in November!”

The award category, sponsored by ActionCOACH Wakefield, recognises small and medium-sized Wakefield businesses which have grown despite all the challenges of the past few years. The firm’s entry outlined the elements of its focused growth strategy which have doubled its turnover and team headcount over the past two years. These include opening a new office in York, launching two new service lines and merging with one of Wakefield’s oldest accountancy firms to steadily grow the client base.

Managing Director of We Are Wakefield, Claire Sutherley, said:

“We’ve been hugely impressed by the superb quality of entries for the 2023 awards. We planned them to be a celebration of all that’s amazing about the Wakefield business scene, and we’ve not been disappointed. The judging panel scored everything independently, with each entry being judged three times, so we know we have a robust shortlist which really reflects high-quality businesses. We can’t wait to see everyone in the room on 9 November at the ceremony.”

Watch out for news from the ceremony, which is being held at the Tileyard North on Thursday 9 November.
