The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of its awards programme, the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, celebrating innovation, resilience and true Yorkshire grit.
The awards programme will recognise achievements from within the Chamber’s membership in the Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield regions.
The categories include:
- Community Hero
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Green Business of the Year
- Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Innovation Award
- International Business of the Year
- Exporter of the Year
- Employer of the Year
Winners will also be selected for Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield Member of the Year, and an overall Chamber Member of the Year winner will be an announced.
Martin Hathaway, managing director of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “I am really excited to bring the Mid Yorkshire Chamber Business Awards back for 2023. It has been another challenging year for many of our members, but we have also heard some incredible success stories that embody everything we stand for as a Chamber.

Janet Bebb, director of Social Progress, the 2022 winner of Chamber Member of the Year, said: “It was an honour to receive last year’s Member of the Year award for our work at Social Progress.
“Being a Chamber member is vital to our growth and provides some incredible opportunities to get connected, supported and represented both locally and nationally.”
The awards are now open for entries until 1 March 2023.
The celebration night will be held in April in Calderdale and will be hosted by acclaimed voice actor and seasoned compere, Paul Dela Ross.
