Sarah Banks Coaching is the Business of the Month!

Nov 30, 2022

Eaton Smith Solicitors is delighted to announce that Sarah Banks Coaching has been chosen by the judging panel as the latest winner of its Business of the Month Award.

Sarah Banks’ personal story is the opening chapter in the formation of her business and its ongoing success. Her compassion, empathy and kindness among the global fertility community is inspirational and almost always follows a personal struggle.

Her journey started when Sarah made the decision to give up a well-paid career as a senior buyer, to retrain in a completely new industry. Sarah wanted to use her personal experience and expertise of fertility treatment to raise awareness of infertility and reassure others that support and a sympathetic ear was available.

Sarah created The IVF Positivity Planner, a coaching book combined with a journal that supports individuals through infertility and the IVF process, following her own struggles with IVF and after experiencing how little support there is available. Following its success, Sarah recently launched a second journal, The Menopause Positivity Planner.

In addition to creating the IVF Positivity Planner, Sarah recognised the lack of support for people struggling with infertility and retrained as a life coach to support others going through the same difficulties she did. She set up the Yorkshire Fertility Support Group, which today offers free peer advice and support to over 1400 members. She also runs national support group, TTC Support UK, with over 1,200 members. The groups provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for people to talk through how they are feeling in an honest way and provide a support network for those going through such an emotional and difficult time.

Through her coaching business, Sarah works with some of the area’s largest employers to implement occupational health guidelines for menopausal women and those requiring leave and emotional support during fertility treatment.

Sarah Banks, author of The Positivity Planner Collection, had this to say: “It’s really lovely to get recognition for the work I do, and I’m especially pleased for the wider acknowledgement that support whilst going through challenging life stages such as infertility and menopause is really important.”

Deborah Melluish was joined on the judging panel by Martin Hathaway (MYCCI), Annie Bradley (Department of International Trade), Sue Cooke (3M Buckley Innovation Centre) and Lesley Sutton (Revell Ward Limited). Sarah Banks Coaching will now go on to be nominated for the Business of the Year Awards held in July.
