Kirklees Local Television Nominated for British Chamber of Commerce ‘Equality Trailblazer’ Award

Sep 22, 2022

Kirklees Local Television Ltd. (KLTV) is delighted to announce they have been nominated for a British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Chamber Business Award.

The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce (MYCC) has nominated KLTV for a Chamber Business Award in The Equality Trailblazer – Diversity and Inclusion Award category.

The BCC’s annual Chamber Business Awards are considered one of the UK’s most prestigious business awards.

Hundreds of high-performing companies are put forward every year for the specialist categories, all competing for the coveted National Chamber Business Awards.

The MYCC said they were delighted to nominate Kirklees Local TV because of their “contribution over the past year to promoting diversity and inclusion in the local community.”

KLTV prides itself on the promotion of diversity, equality, inclusion and equitable outcomes for all.

Documenting local and regional equality events, celebrating diverse individuals and groups, and educating young people about equality, ethnicity, rights, and responsibilities, are just a few examples of the work KLTV delivers, locally and across the region.

Through working locally and across the region, KLTV provides invaluable and unique insights into diverse cultures, traditions, and heritage.

For KLTV, diversity and inclusion are not just words, they’re actions, results, and an assurance that people feel that their ethnicity and culture are respected at the highest level.

An independent panel will now assess all nominations and the regional winners will be announced w/c 26 September.

Once this stage is complete, the national winners will be notified w/c 17 October.

The overall Winner of Winners will be announced at the closing of the London Stock Exchange on Thursday 1 December.

KLTV would like to sincerely thank the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce for their nomination
